This charming vacation home is part of a traditional 18th-century Danish thatched-roof farmstead and is located in the heart of an active horse farm with a riding school in North Zealand. Surrounded by horse pastures, nature, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, it offers the ideal setting for anyone looking to consciously slow down and experience rural Denmark.
The house combines authentic Danish charm with modern amenities and evokes a sense of hygge from the very first moment. Guests stay in a separate wing of the historic four-sided farmstead and are welcome to enjoy the lovingly tended garden of the hosts, who live on the farm themselves.
A special highlight is the opportunity to combine your stay with lessons in classical horsemanship. Riding lessons can be booked directly on the farm with the school horses; if you wish, you can also bring and board your own horse. At the same time, the vacation home is also ideal for families or couples who simply want to enjoy the tranquility of nature, the closeness to the animals, and the relaxed atmosphere of farm life.
The fully equipped kitchen, cozy living areas, and numerous practical amenities ensure a comfortable stay. Amenities include Wi-Fi, towels, bedding, a washing machine, a dryer, an air fryer, a toaster, and a selection of books and board games.
The surrounding area also offers a wide range of activities. The historic port city of Helsingør, home to the famous Kronborg Castle, Fredensborg Castle, Lake Esrum, and the expansive landscapes of North Zealand National Park, is within easy reach. The nearest beach is only about five kilometers away, and a day trip to Copenhagen is also easily arranged. In the popular coastal town of Hornbæk, visitors will find charming cafés, a food market, regular live music, and one of Denmark’s most beautiful sandy beaches.
Please note that the horses may only be used by prior arrangement and must not be fed without permission. Dogs may be brought along after prior consultation, provided they are well-socialized, as there are already other dogs living on the farm.
Enggaarden is located in Dronningmølle in the northern part of the Danish island of Zealand, nestled in a peaceful natural landscape among forests, fields, and the coast of the Kattegat. The region is ideal for walks, bike rides, and relaxing trips to the beach.
At the same time, the farm is a special attraction for horse lovers from all over Europe who want to experience and deepen their understanding of classical equestrian art in a family-like atmosphere.
