The apartment is located on the ground floor of one of the estate’s historic buildings and, with approximately 62 m² of space, offers a wonderfully laid-back place to spend relaxing days in Tuscany. It features a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, a private living room, and a kitchen with a large dining table. Right in front of the house is a private outdoor area—a lovely spot for your first cup of coffee in the morning or a long dinner under the open sky.
Lauretta isn’t the kind of place that demands attention. Its charm lies instead in the things you find here quite naturally: old walls, the tranquility of the countryside, vineyards and olive groves right outside the door, and plenty of time to start the day without any set plans. Perhaps with a coffee outside, followed by a stroll through the vineyards, and in the evening, gathered around the large dining table.
The estate encompasses about 16 hectares of Tuscan countryside with vineyards, 770 olive trees, meadows, and a small poplar grove. Its history as a winery and farm is still palpable. A walking path leads through the vineyards to a bocce court, and the estate produces its own Chianti D.O.C.G. and olive oil. Today, there are ten apartments and shared common areas—all while preserving the property’s spacious character.
If you’re looking to explore Tuscany, you’ll find a wonderful starting point here. Montaione is located between Florence, Siena, and Pisa, and is ideal for both day trips to these famous cities and for exploring the lesser-known gems off the beaten path. The surrounding area offers villages, restaurants, wineries, and the characteristic landscape of the Tuscan countryside.
The warm, German-speaking hosts are happy to help and, upon request, can assist with arranging horseback riding excursions, tennis courts, or bike rentals. Breakfast can also be provided with advance notice. It’s free for children up to six years old; for children ages seven to twelve, it costs €7; and for those 13 and older, it’s €14 per person. Registration takes place directly with the host after booking.
Amenities include dishes, a coffee maker, a hair dryer, hand towels, bath towels, and bed linens. Air conditioning and heating ensure comfortable temperatures year-round.
An apartment for anyone who doesn’t need to pack in as many experiences as possible to have a wonderful time—but is instead looking for a place where the scenery, the tranquility, and the character of an old Tuscan estate naturally set the tone.
