Located in the heart of Chianti Classico, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and rolling hills, this natural-stone villa is situated near Gaiole in Chianti. With 120 m² of living space and three bedrooms, it can accommodate six guests—compact enough for spending time together, yet offering plenty of privacy thanks to three private bathrooms.
The architecture and interior design incorporate many materials typical of old houses in this region. Terracotta floors, exposed wooden beams, and natural materials form the foundation, complemented by light-colored furniture and occasional pops of color. The result doesn’t feel like a staged portrayal of Tuscan tradition, but rather pleasantly natural.
The heart of the home is the open living area. The kitchen, dining area, and lounge flow seamlessly into one another, creating a large shared space for cooking, dining, and gathering. Large windows let in plenty of natural light and constantly connect the interior to the surrounding landscape.
The open-concept kitchen is fully equipped—including an oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and freezer, as well as various coffee makers. A drinking water filtration system is also included. Especially in a house for six, the kitchen is not just meant for a quick breakfast but is also perfect for longer evenings spent cooking together.
All three bedrooms feature a double bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower. This makes the house particularly well-suited not only for families but also for three couples traveling together. One of the bedrooms was designed with maximum accessibility in mind; the accompanying bathroom is also equipped for guests with limited mobility. The property itself is listed as wheelchair-accessible.
But what really sets this house apart is what’s outside. A well-maintained garden with lawns surrounds the villa and opens up to the Chianti countryside. At its center is the private saltwater pool with sun loungers and sweeping views of the surrounding hills.
Just a few steps away, under a large pergola, is the sheltered dining area. Here, you can enjoy breakfast in the morning, have lunch in the shade, and spend long evenings together. A BBQ and a traditional wood-fired pizza oven further transform the terrace into a true outdoor living space—and likely the place where you’ll spend most of your time during the warmer months.
Amenities also include air conditioning throughout the house, in-floor heating, Wi-Fi, a washer and dryer, satellite TV, and a Bose Bluetooth speaker. A crib and high chair are available for families. The property is fenced; dogs are welcome upon prior request. Covered parking and a charging station for electric cars are also available.
Good to know: Right next to the villa is a larger, occupied house. On the side facing the garden and pool, it has only a few small windows; in addition, trees planted in front of it provide privacy. The vacation home is therefore not completely secluded.
This is a great base for exploring Chianti. Radda in Chianti and Lecchi in Chianti are each about eight kilometers away, and Siena is about 30 kilometers away. And yet the house itself is a place where you can easily spend a few days without having to do much—between the pool, the garden, the pergola, and the pizza oven.
