The cozy wooden house Posestvo Brida is nestled in the peaceful countryside of the Brkini Hills between Lakes Klivnik and Mola. Behind an old farmhouse, a small wooden house has been built here, constructed almost entirely from natural and regional materials. Inside, minimalist design meets a warm atmosphere: custom-made wooden elements, a spacious bed with a view of the night sky, and large windows that bring nature into the home.
Above the main bed is a cozy loft bed for two people, which is especially popular with children. The windows and doors can be completely darkened, creating a peaceful retreat. The fully equipped kitchen, with its many carefully selected utensils, opens onto a solid dining table made of locally sourced walnut—a place for long dinners, conversations, game nights, or quiet mornings with coffee and a view of the greenery. The bathroom is intentionally kept simple, practical, and separate from the living area.
In front of the house, paths paved with traditional “Škrli” stones wind through the garden—a historic material from the region that was once transported by horse from nearby quarries. The multi-level wooden deck offers sweeping views across the valley and serves as the focal point for long evenings surrounded by nature. It has recently been renovated and now features a pergola and an outdoor hot tub.
The large garden extends all the way to a small stream, which is accessible via stone steps and offers a refreshing dip on warm days. A wooden walkway leads further into the surrounding forests and meadows—ideal for walks, bike rides, or mushroom hunting. With a little patience, you can spot herons, deer, or frogs right from the house.
Posestvo Brida is a place that is less about traditional luxury and more about tranquility, simplicity, craftsmanship, and being close to nature.
