About this home

A small stone house set within the pristine landscape of La Vera in the Spanish region of Extremadura. Surrounded by meadows, pastures, and wide views of nature, the house combines traditional architecture with carefully selected details and high living comfort. The quiet location, authentic atmosphere, and impressive scenery create a place for recovery, slowing down, and the beauty of simple country life.

Casa La Junta is located in the small hamlet of Casas del Naval on the edge of the Sierra de Gredos, offering a retreat amidst forests, mountains, and pristine nature. The carefully restored stone house combines traditional construction with modern comfort, preserving the character of the region’s historic buildings.

Natural stone walls, exposed wooden beams, and natural materials create a warm and authentic atmosphere. The living areas open up to the surrounding landscape, offering space for shared meals, quiet hours of reading, or relaxed evenings by the fireplace. The fully equipped kitchen allows for independent travel at your own pace, while comfortable bedrooms and modern bathrooms ensure a relaxing stay.

Outside, expansive views, crisp mountain air, and the profound silence of the Sierra de Gredos define the daily rhythm. Terraces and outdoor areas invite you to start the day overlooking the surrounding mountains or to end it under the starlit sky.

Hiking trails through chestnut forests, mountain valleys, and along small rivers begin right at the doorstep. The region is one of the most pristine natural landscapes in central Spain, known for its crystal-clear natural pools, spectacular mountain scenery, and traditional villages. Hikes, mountain bike tours, bird watching, or excursions into the Sierra de Gredos characterize the stay, as do quiet afternoons in nature. Small restaurants and regional markets also provide an authentic insight into rural Spain.

Casa La Junta is particularly suited for guests seeking nature, tranquility, and authentic places. Between mountains, forests, and the slow rhythm of Spanish country life, a stay here offers a departure from the hectic pace of everyday life.
