The house is a newly built, architecturally designed vacation home for up to six people, located right on Lake Rogsjön. Large panoramic windows open up the spacious living area to the surrounding landscape, allowing the water, forest, and sky to become part of the home. The clean, Scandinavian architecture remains pleasantly understated, giving nature the space it deserves. Just about 25 meters from the house lies the private sandy beach with its own dock. During the warmer months, a boat and SUP boards are also available—ideal for exploring the lake from the water, going for a swim, or simply spending a long day on the shore. Nature begins right at the doorstep: forests, trails, and the tranquil landscape of Dalarna invite you to take walks and go on excursions.
The town reveals a different side of itself in every season. In the summer, life by the water is a central part of the experience, while in the fall the forests take on warm colors and mushrooms and berries dot the landscape. In winter, things quiet down around Lake Rogsjön. On the other side of the lake lie the ski slopes of Bjursås Berg & Sjö, which are about a 15-minute drive away. After a day in the snow, the Lakehouse awaits with its fireplace and private sauna overlooking the lake. It is this combination of architecture, nature, and tranquility that gives the house its special character.
Despite its quiet location, the house is a great starting point for exploring Dalarna. Falun is about a 25-minute drive away, Carl Larsson-gården in about 30 minutes, Romme Alpin in about 40 minutes, Rättvik in about 45 minutes, and Leksand in about 50 minutes. This makes it a wonderful way to explore the region with its forests, lakes, cultural attractions, and quintessentially Swedish towns—and then return to Rogsjön. Or you can simply stay here. Because sometimes that’s exactly the best part of a trip.
