The house is a newly built, architect-designed holiday home for up to six people directly on Lake Rogsjön. Large panoramic windows open the spacious living area to the landscape, allowing water, forest, and sky to become part of the house. The clear Scandinavian architecture remains pleasantly understated, giving nature the space it deserves. Just about 25 meters from the house lies the private sandy beach with its own jetty. During the warmer season, a boat and SUP boards are also available – ideal for exploring the lake from the water, swimming, or simply spending a long day on the shore. Around the house, nature begins right at the doorstep: forests, paths, and the tranquil landscape of Dalarna invite you to walks and excursions.
The location reveals a different side in every season. In summer, life by the water is part of the stay, while in autumn, the forests transform into warm colors, and mushrooms and berries characterize the landscape. In winter, it becomes quiet around Lake Rogsjön. On the other side of the lake are the ski slopes of Bjursås Berg & Sjö, which can be reached by car in about 15 minutes. After a day in the snow, the lake house awaits with its fireplace and private sauna overlooking the lake. It is this connection of architecture, nature, and tranquility that defines the special character of the house.
Despite its quiet location, the house is a good starting point for discovering Dalarna. Falun can be reached by car in about 25 minutes, Carl Larsson-gården in about 30 minutes, Romme Alpin in about 40 minutes, Rättvik in about 45 minutes, and Leksand in about 50 minutes. This allows you to wonderfully explore the region with its forests, lakes, cultural sights, and typical Swedish towns – and then return to Lake Rogsjön. Or you can simply stay here. Because sometimes, that is the most beautiful part of a journey.
